Individual Coaching Athletes

The secret of my most successful method is the individual coaching per athlete, that goes on all day, whenever he/she needs me or has questions. Every athlete folows  their own individual plan, made for their body composition and goals.

 

I have a method that works step by step, I never put athletes on a diet. I first see how their eating habits are, how long and intens trainings are, how their current body composition is, and which goals they want to achieve.

I do this by determining there personal protein plan and help it to adapt it in their personal nutrition plan. Where they come short with regular diet, I adjust their plan with high quality supplements, which are proven to be safe, natural and very effective.

​

Depending on the frequency of trainings and competitions, my clients aims are to keep hydrated and to top up muscle and liver glycogen stores so they compete with a `full` fuel supply. 

​

To keep fit and focussed for the whole game, also after the break, it`s important to maintain sugar level and supplying fuel to the exercising muscles when glycogen levels are depleted. That`s why a player need to know about how to do this by eating the right macro nutrients, at the right moment.  

​

In practice, I always test several macronutrient combinations and adjust them where necessary, whilst monitoring body composition as well as performance markers, such as power output, stamina, reaction time, speed, time to exhaustion, endurance, heart rate, and so on.

 

My job is totally different then a normal dietitian. I teach, coach and motivate, and follow up very frequently, so program can be adjusted when necessary. 

 

My work with a client will all depend on the athlete`s knowledge, and the coaching and teaching starts after the first consultation.

 

My experience thought me that most of them don`t know enough about good nutrition for performance. For example football players are very young, don`t have the time to prepare healthy food, and are mostly only focussing in their matches.

 

I am very good at convincing and teaching young players about the effect of the right nutrition and nutri timing, and they will feel and see their body and performance change. I work with a bodyscan, where my clients see their body change in only one week after they start their nutrition plan. Muscle mass and bone minerals goes up, body fat goes down.

 

All players that I`m helping, and could only play 60 minutes before getting tired, can now play full matches, and are fit again the next day.

An athlete`s energy in the body is about 20% training and 80% nutrition, so the nutrition part is a very important issue in a team.

Because of professional athletes have many trainings, without enough resting days to fully recover and refuel their body, they need extra supplements to prevent injuries, to speed up recovery, and to higher performance during training and games.
